1. Service scope
ClipCompat provides browser-local media inspection and compatibility guidance.
The service reads technical media characteristics in the browser and applies deterministic rules to help explain potential Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve compatibility conditions. ClipCompat is not a video hosting, cloud transcoding, repair or storage service.
2. Diagnostic limits
Results are informational and environment-dependent.
Editor behavior can depend on application version, operating system components, GPU/CPU hardware, drivers, plug-ins, licensed codecs and file conditions that cannot always be verified from metadata. A Supported verdict is not a warranty that playback or editing will be flawless on every machine.
When the evidence is incomplete, ClipCompat may return Conditional, Editing Risk or Test Required instead of guessing. Users should verify important media in the actual production environment.
3. Your media and safe handling
You remain responsible for the files you choose and the changes you make.
Only analyze files you are authorized to access. ClipCompat does not automatically modify the selected media. If you choose to transcode, remux, rename or otherwise change a file using another tool, preserve the original source and validate the new working copy before replacing project media.
4. Third-party products and documentation
Editor names are used only to describe compatibility targets.
Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve and other third-party product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. ClipCompat is independent and is not sponsored, endorsed or affiliated with those vendors.
Links to external documentation are provided for verification. External sites and software are governed by their own terms, policies and technical behavior.
5. Availability and accuracy
The service and rule set can change as evidence improves.
ClipCompat can contain incomplete rules, unsupported formats or implementation errors. Compatibility documentation also changes over time. ClipCompat may update, remove or narrow a rule when newer evidence makes a previous statement too broad. The service may also be interrupted, changed or discontinued without guaranteeing continuous availability.
6. Changes to these terms
The terms may be updated when the service changes.
These terms may be revised to reflect changes in ClipCompat features, hosting, contact methods, advertising, analytics or legal requirements. The current version and review date will be published on this page.
7. Privacy
Selected media is analyzed locally in the browser.
See the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for the current data-handling and cookie status.
